Combination Thrust & Journal Bearings
![]()
Kingsbury’s Specialty Thrust and Journal Bearing Systems are custom-engineered solutions for unique operating requirements where standard bearings may not be sufficient.
Kingsbury Combination Bearings
Kingsbury Combination Bearings combine thrust and journal bearing functions into a single, compact unit, supporting both axial and radial loads at one location. This design reduces footprint, simplifies machine layout, and improves alignment while delivering the proven hydrodynamic performance of Kingsbury Tilting Pad Bearing technology.

CH Thrust & Journal Bearing System
Our engineers are often asked to develop creative bearing solutions, customized to the demands of a given application. That’s how Kingsbury's CH System came about: it provides pump manufacturers with an economical thrust and journal bearing assembly adapted to their specific requirements.

Pedestal-Mounted Thrust & Journal / PMH
Our engineers are often asked to develop creative bearing solutions, customized to the demands of a given application. That’s how Kingsbury's Pedestal-Mounted Thrust/Journal (PMH) System came about - it provides pump manufacturers with an economical thrust and journal bearing assembly adapted to their specific requirements for horizontal hydro turbines.

Combination Thrust & Journal
Kingsbury Combination Thrust and Journal Bearings integrate axial and radial load support into a single, compact bearing system for demanding rotating equipment. The combined tilting pad design uses directed lubrication with integrated Leading Edge Groove (LEG®) pockets on both thrust and journal pads, delivering fresh oil directly into the lubrication film to manage temperature and load. A combined fixed profile option pairs a radial bearing with axial thrust faces, serving pumps, turbines, compressors, and gearboxes.

Vertical Mounted Thrust & Journal System
Kingsbury Vertical Mounted Thrust and Journal Bearing systems combine axial thrust support and radial guidance in a single design for vertical machinery. Used in hydro turbines, vertical pumps, and generators, these systems are available with equalizing thrust bearings for stable loading and reliable performance in demanding applications.
